In February 1999, Mr. Brown opened his District of Columbia office as a
satellite to his Virginia office.  Since 1999, the District of Columbia office has
become the primary office.  It is located directly across from D.C. Superior Court
and less than a block from the D.C. Department of Motor Vehicles.  This ideal
location allows Mr. Brown to coordinate his numerous court appearances with client
meetings and office time.
Initially, Mr. Brown's D.C. practice focused on representing clients in a wide
range of misdemeanor and felony matters.  Over the last four years, however, he has
focused his attention on handling serious criminal traffic matters.  He made this
decision after recognizing that defense of impaired drivers requires a level of skill,
knowledge, and preparation that is unique to that charge.  His commitment to his
clients and excellence in his practice led him to attend annual conferences on
impaired driving defense.  The conferences are attended by the country's leading
DWI defense attorneys.  Through his training, he has learned how the testing
machines operates, how to administer the field sobriety exercises correctly, and
what defenses can be successfully mounted in impaired driving cases.  He has
acquired his own Intoxilyzer 5000, the Breath Testing device used in the District of
Columbia, so that he can be more prepared to cross examine the breath testing
technicians.  Applying rigorous energy, experience, and resourcefulness to every
case he accepts,Mr. Brown is dedicated to your success.
